Ab heute blinkt meine HC2 bei dem Update Button vor sich hin und ich frage mich, ob man es wagen soll, die HC2 auf die neueste Ver. 4.90 upzudaten.

Bin mir nicht sicher, ob man es sich wirklich trauen soll, oder man sich hinterher ärgert, da hier und da irgendwas nicht mehr funktioniert.

Was denkt ihr? Es ist ja keine Beta.

Weis auch nicht was ich machen soll, ist keine Beta also müsste danach alles noch gehen ???

auch wenn es keine Beta mehr ist, heißt es nicht, das alles funktioniert. Es geht zum Beispiel weiterhin das RFID Keypad nicht. Es muss aber jeder selbst wissen, ob er sich das Update installiert. :wink: Man sollte auf jeden Fall das Forum hier verfolgen. Wenn es dort große Probleme gibt, dann schlagen die hier schnell auf:

Version 4.090

This update features migration process from version 3.600, reconfiguration of every device, adjusting them for changes which took place in the system. This will assure possibly a smooth transition and continuous operation, allowing each device to work with old settings until reconfiguration is done. Please, refer to message that appears in the interface and Notification Center after finishing upgrade for further instructions.

Important!
Updating from version 3.600 may take longer than usual, even up to 30 minutes, please do not restart controller during the update process.

  • Firmware Update - wireless update of Z-Wave devices: Motion Sensor, Dimmer and Wall Plug. Availability of the update for each device is showed in Notification Center and Advanced Configuration. Run update only when devices are in close range from controller (ca. 2 m). Process can take up to 30 minutes, depending on Z-Wave traffic and devices queued for updates. Details of the whole procedure can be found in a notification displayed before every device update.

  • New, configurable scenes triggering modes available in each scene advanced configuration:
    Automatic - scene are triggered either by one of defined triggers (device state, global variable etc.) or manually by ‘Run’ button
    Manual - scene is executed only manually by ‘Run’ button
    Disabled - scene is inactive, cannot be triggered and cannot be run manually
    Visibility - scene can be hidden in all interfaces (mobile apps, web interface)

    In connection to this change there are new Lua API functions, more information can be found on developer.fibaro.com

  • Other minor fixes

CHANGES INTRODUCED IN VERSION 4.X:

  • Drag & Drop for devices and scenes - available on home, devices and rooms screens. Assigning devices to rooms and changing its order is now much easier and faster.
  • Temperature Panel - allows to see history of temperature changes in rooms and on each device.
  • Diagnostic Panel - general information about HC working condition like CPU & RAM usage, free space on hard drive. Will be extended in future versions.
  • Soft Device Reconfiguration - option allows to save settings, parameters and device ID. Thanks to that scenes with reconfigurable device will not require editing. Full reconfiguration will remove and add the device to the Z-Wave network, resulting in the loss of its settings, parameters and change the device ID…
  • Mesh Network Reconfiguration - available on Configuration -> Z-Wave Network
  • New Z-Wave engine - redesigned and rewritten from the scratch. Now is faster and has better support for devices.
  • Z-Wave Door Locks support - controlling and PIN settings.
  • Thermostats - extended controlling for thermostats from manufacturers like: Honeywell, Trane Corporation.
  • Extended tamper for sensors - exclusive information for motion detection and violation of sensors.
  • Fibaro Smoke Sensor extended support - level of smoke and gap to alarm level is reported and visible on charts. Sensitivity level is now easier to set.
  • Fibro Motion Sensor new device - when seismometer mode is turned on new device reporting tremors is available. Charts for temperature and illuminance. Additionally information about sensor violation.
  • Device hiding - device that is not in use can be hide without removing it.
  • Device deactivation - deactivated device is visible in UI but can’t be controlled.
  • Multithreading added for HC (server and z-wave) - now engines work much faster.
  • Event panel moved - for better usability now is available in menu on right side of screen.
  • Pre-Update Confirmation - installing update will prompt user additional confirmation.
  • Added support for American English (EN-US)
  • User rights management - moved to Configuration.
  • Recovery Memory Health - can be checked on Backup & Recovery
  • Backups has information about compatibility with current HC version
  • Block scenes improvements - for device only available actions are visible, scene activation block added and logical conditions grouping using brackets.
  • Lua Scenes - updated tool-tips for devices.
  • Rest API Active Documentation - documentation and ability to test REST API requests, access at HOME_CENTER_IP/docs

Habe gestern Abend das Update installiert und kann seitdem nicht mehr auf die Oberfläche des HC2 zugreifen. Nach Eingabe von Benutzer und Passwort passiert nichts mehr.
Kann jemand helfen??

Hast Du mal einen anderen Browser versucht bzw. Deinen Browser-Cache gelöscht?

Browser ist bei mir Safari. Den Cache habe ich seit dem Update noch nicht gelöscht. Sollte es daran liegen?
Über Smartphone kann ich zumindest auf Funktionen zugreifen.
Dann werde ich das zunächst mal ausprobieren …

Ok, das war ja noch einfach. Ich warte lieber doch noch ein paar Tage ab. Ein paar Mutige bitte vortreten, installieren und bitte hier berichten.

Und bitte alles, aber auch wirklich alles und jedes Skript nach dem update testen, ob es noch genauso funktioniert wie vorher. Macht auch mal ein Backup, ob dies auch noch funktioniert. Bei der einen Ref. konnte man ja lesen, das zwar das Backup ging, das Rückspielen aber nicht mehr, da irgendein File auf dem Backupstick verändert/gelöscht wurde.

Das wäre natürlich im Notfall ein Desaster.

Hallo,

habe heute das Update auf 4.90 durchgeführt. Update hat problemlos funktioniert. Allerdings muss man danach das bisher installierte HUE Plugin löschen und neu installieren. Mit dem Update wird wohl eine Fehlerbereinigte Version geliefert und obwohl ich unter 4.80 keine Probleme hatte funktionierte das Plugin nach dem Update nicht mehr. Dadurch muss man nach dem Update alle Hue Lampen neu einbinden, weil sich durch die Neuinstallation des Plugins auch die ID’s der Lampen in der HC2 ändern.

Bei meinen Motion Eyes habe ich zudem die jetzt möglichen Firmware-Upgrades gemacht. Dauert etwas, hat aber auch gut funktioniert. Wenn ich noch etwas feststellen sollte, poste ich es. Bis jetzt scheint alles zu klappen.

Mit dem Update funktionieren übrigens endlich die Wetterdaten in der HC2 wieder - für mich einer der Hauptgründe für das Update. Die Fibaro Dimmer kann man auch mit einer neuen Firmware versehen. Hab ich aber noch nicht ausoprobiert, da man bei den Motion Eyes während des Upgrades mehrmals den Wakeup Button drücken muss. Außerdem müssen die Devices innerhalb 2m Abstand von der HC2 positioniert werden. Bei fest eingebauten Schaltern ist das natürlich Banane, weil man dann ja den Schalter erst wirder ausbauen müsste.

Das tue ich mir dann doch nicht an… :slight_smile:

@ArnoNym, ok, hast Du auch schon mal nachgesehen, ob die ganzen Logdateien zu Ereignissen, Stromverbrauch usw. alle noch nach dem Update vorhanden sind.

Hi Leute,
Ich habe gerade gewagt das Update zu machen.
Soweit ich das bis jetzt beurteilen kann, klappt (fast) alles so wie vorher.
Außer dass die Wetterdaten jetzt wieder stimmen :wink:

NodOn Skript für Licht
Das Skript über meinen NodOn Funkschalter funktioniert zwar überall dort wo Fibaro Komponenten betroffen sind.
Meine Zippato RGB Led Birne, lässt sich allerdings nun nicht mehr ausschalten.
Sie wird auch als AUS angezeigt obwohl sie aktiviert ist…
Schalte ich sie über die Weboberfläche aus, dann kann man sie über das Skript wieder einschalen, aber ausschalten lässt sie sich dann wieder nicht mehr.
Das werde ich noch genauer prüfen…

kleinere Scripte für Licht mit Fibaro Türkontakten und GreenWave Steckdosen -> OK

Ein Firmwareupdate für Fibaro Dimmer wird angeboten.
Da ich aber die Zentrale ca. 10m entfernt des Dimmers habe, werde ich es vorerst mal lassen!
Denn in der Update Beschreibung wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass das Update ca. 30 Min dauert und in 2m Entfernung von der Zentrale durchgeführt werden sollte.
Ich überleg mir noch, wie das gehen soll !?!?
Eventuell die Zentrale mit einem langen Netzwerkkabel ca. 30 Min zum Dimmer hinhalten :wink:
Mal ehrlich, das ist in einem Mesh Netzwerk aus 90% Fibaro Komponenten ein Armutszeugnis für einen Hersteller!!

Falls mir noch was auffällt werde ich berichten…

da hier ja öfter Kritik bezüglich Firmwareupdate usw. gegenüber Fibaro aufkommt, möchte ich mich dazu mal äußern:

Das ist kein Problem von Fibaro, sondern ist ein Problem seitens Z-Wave. Module ohne Z-Wave Plus können nur mit einer direkten Verbindung zur Zentrale zum Beispiel angelernt werden. Polyvalent verhält es sich mit der Übertragung von Parametern und Firmware-Updates. Da Fibaro nicht davon ausgehen kann, dass die Module Z-Wave Plus integriert haben, wird deshalb empfohlen, Firmware-Updates in der Nähe der Zentrale durchzuführen. Wo das jetzt ein Problem seitens Fibaro ist, sehe ich nicht…

Bei mir hat das Firmware-Update einwandfrei funktioniert. Ein Update des Bewegungsmelders wird vorgeschlagen, aber ich kam aufgrund des guten Wetters am WE noch nicht dazu.
Bzgl. Updates fest verbauter Komponenten. ich gebe Dir Recht “boomx”. Fibaro kann da nix für - aber es ist schon wirklich unglücklich, dass das Firmwareupdate so umständlich ist. Seitens Fibaro könnte man ja ausweisen, welche Komponenten "+"fähig sind und das entsprechend supporten.

Danke für die Ergänzung. Möglicherweise hab ich das falsch verstanden!
Du schreibst oben:

Das bedeutet für mich dass die Komponente direkt mit der Zentrale und nicht über das Relay einer Mesh Komponeten verbunden sein darf DAS ist KEIN Problem, fast ALLE meine Komponenten haben eine direkte Verbindung zur Zentrale! Aber sie sind mehr als 2 m entfernt davon! (Meist 10-15 m)

In der Anleitung zum Frimware Update steht allerdings eine 2 M Grenze:
•Warning:
•Locate the device in the close nearby (ca. 2m) of the Home Center to avoid the failures.
•Update can take up to 30 minutes. It depends on Z-wave traffic.
•There may be need of re-introduction of the group associations in the device where the software update took place.
•In case of strange device behaviour there may be need of reconfiguration/reinclusion.

Frage:
Was passiert wenn ich das Update starte und meine Komponente 10m entfernt ist.
Geht es gar nicht?
Gibt es ein Risiko?
Oder habt ihr keine Erfahrungen?

Wenn ihr keine Erfahrungen habt, dann probier ich das einfach mal aus und poste hier was passiert …
